ABOUT LAKE OCONEE LIVING MAGAZINE
Lake Oconee Living reflects the spirit of a region. Through thoughtful editorial content, stunning photography and innovative design, Lake Oconee Living reveals the natural beauty of a place and the graceful lifestyle of its residents.
Lake Oconee Living is an award-winning quarterly publication that features elegant homes and gardens, engaging personalities and festive events. We seek to entertain and inform our readers through good storytelling and distinctive style.
Founded in 1998, Lake Oconee Living captured one of the country’s most enviable demographic regions. Published quarterly, the magazine is found on the best-dressed coffee tables in one of the country’s best-dressed regions, from greater Atlanta to Augusta, Milledgeville to Athens.
Our readers are primarily affluent, discerning individuals who enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of Lake Oconee and beyond. Their sophistication and advanced education are reflected in our magazine.
Our readers are an older, often retired, family-oriented crowd. The age range is wide: target readers are between 35-75 years old (median age of 53).
Lake Oconee Living is distributed throughout the region. Through partnership agreements with The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, Harbor Club and Cuscowilla, the magazine is distributed to visitors and residents of the lake’s gated communities. It is the only regional magazine placed in every room of The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, and 2,000 copies are distributed to guests every quarter.
With a current circulation of 7,500, our distribution continues to grow. We distribute to select Publix and Ingles grocery stores throughout the region and select Barnes & Noble bookstores throughout the state. We maintain approximately 500 regular subscribers.
Each issue, Lake Oconee Living runs up to ten feature stories, ten department articles, an essay or short story, and a poem.
We seek writers of different backgrounds and styles to diversify our editorial content. We offer publication opportunities for columnists, short-fiction writers, and feature writers.
